USC Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Program (AYA@USC) Retreat Movie

Each year there are 89,000 adolescents and young adults (AYAs) aged between 15-39 diagnosed with cancer. Besides dealing with various medical and personal challenges, many of them also suffer from a sense of isolation from their normal activities and social life. The AYA@USC Program not only provides critical supportive care and programming to address their medical and psychosocial needs, it also features a unique Annual Getaway Retreat provides a unique opportunity for them to relax and refresh in nature, to meet up with other young people, and to support each other during their cancer journey. This beautiful 15-minute documentary recorded the heartfelt stories of these young adults and how the AYA community can provide special care and support for them to go through life.

USC 4th David Stroud Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Symposium

AYA@USC (Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program at USC) has been hosting David Stroud Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Symposium since 2013. These symposia provided rich and practical information covering the spectrum of important issues in AYA cancers, survivorship and supportive care to improve quality of life. They also helped build a robust network of advocacy and support community consisting of patients, caregivers, providers, healthcare professionals, advocates and community partners.
